| Kate Winslet Fuming Over Diet Remarks; May Sue Tabloid |
In an unsurprising move, Kate Winslet is planning to take legal action against a tabloid magazine over an article about her weight.
Grazia printed a story alleging that the Oscar-nominated actress was visiting a ‘diet doctor’. Seeing the Winslet has often spoken out against skinny stars and size zero models, describing the trend as “unbelievably disturbing”, she felt an obligation to respond to the claims.
The British star, who has been “lauded for her decision to remain one of the curvier A-listers,” spoke out about the issue on the red carpet at the BAFTAS. She said that the article gave women who look up to her as a role model the wrong impression… especially after a Brazilian model recently died of anorexia.
Reported by Bosh, Winslet told reporters on Sunday: “I will continue to say what I feel about this issue of women being thin and emaciated. It’s just out of control. I know I’m a role model to young women. It’s a role that I take very, very seriously and I would never want anyone to ever think I was a hypocrite in doing something like going to a diet doctor, for goodness sake. I mean, it’s really, really ridiculous...I’m going to fight for myself. I don’t want people thinking that I would ever go to a diet doctor, I would ever buy into that stuff. I never have done, I never will.”
Meanwhile, the skinny debate continues as London Fashion Week kicks off. The modeling industry has been facing heated criticism after refusing to follow Milan and Madrid in banning size zero models.

| Ivanka Trump Takes Shot At Paris Hilton |
In an unexpected statement made to msnbc, Ivanka Trump had some pretty harsh words for Paris Hilton and said that she is nothing like the hotel heiress, and is tired of being compared to her.
“I work 13-hour days for my money,” the 25-year-old former model, who now works for dad Donald’s business, told the London Express. “I bought my house from my father — I have a mortgage, you know.”
Ivanka continued be saying that she’s not at all like that “party kid” Hilton.
“I think we are totally different individuals,” Trump said. “If I were to go off the rails and become this party kid, I would not be able to afford my lifestyle. I’ve never had a sense of entitlement. I saw how hard my father worked for his money and it was always made very clear to me that things wouldn’t just be given to me.”
Paris has yet to reply to Ivanka’s comments… but we all know that there will be retribution. Paris will take obvious offense to Ivanka’s remarks, especially due to the fact that she takes such pride in her business endeavors… which she undoubtedly puts a good amount of time into. At the same time, it is highly unlikely that Ms. Trump is doing manual labor or working the night shift to get by. So, it seems as if Paris is in position to really stick it to her, and seeing that Ivanka fired first, it would not be uncalled for. |

| Beyonce Named Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Covergirl |
In a recent AP news release, Beyonce has claimed the coveted covergirl slot of this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
“The Dreamgirl As You’ve Never Seen Her,” is the headline that was chosen to accompany the cover shot. There’s also a highly-anticipated photo spread inside of the magazine.
Beyonce posed on a Florida beach in a yellow-and-pink bikini designed by House of Dereon, the fashion label she started with her mother, Tina Knowles.
According to the recent AP report, the 2007 SI swimsuit edition continues with a music theme inside, featuring barely-covered models posing with the likes of: Kanye West, Aerosmith, Kenny Chesney, Gnarls Barkley and Panic! At the Disco.
Meanwhile, this prestigious honor hopefully will take some of the bite out of being passed up for Dreamgirls co-star, Jennifer Hudson, as the first black singer to grace the cover of Vogue. |

| Sienna Miller Defends Spears & Lohan’s Partying |
Sienna Miller has heard enough criticism thrown at party girls Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. The actress has decided to come to the defense of th duo.
The British actress, who is notorious for being cheated on by Jude Law, insisted that Lohan and Spears were at the age when young women usually indulged in a lot of partying, and that people should be more understanding of that fact.
Miller talked with OK! magazine, stating that the only aspect where Britney and Lindsay differed from other women their age, was that by not being famous as these two are, other girls didn’t need to be worried about whether or not they might get caught on video or by camera.
"I think everyone’s entitled to their own decisions. Girls are doing the same thing all over the world as what these girls are doing, but they’re not being photographed while they’re doing it,” The Sun quoted Miller as saying.
The star of the hit movie ‘Factory Girl’ insisted that it was ‘healthy’ for women of Spears and Lohan’s age to party. Socially health, that is.
“I think it’s healthy for young girls to go out and have fun in their teenage years and early twenties. I’m not going to judge anyone,” she said.
Miller, herself, has been seen partying at the clubs with A-listers much more often as of late. A few weeks ago, The Gossip Girls reported the spotting of Diddy and Miller sneaking into her hotel after a night of clubbing. So, it seems fitting that she defends the actions of the two. She is forgetting one thing… most girls do wear panties in public. |

| Gwen Stefani Planning For Second Baby |
Gwen Stefani has recently revealed that she and rocker husband Gavin Rossdale are planning their second child together.
The pop star plans to take baby Kingston on the road with her when she tours this year, and if motherhood continues to be a blessing for her, she hopes to add to her family, informs the Post Chronicle.
During an interview aired on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Gwen spoke of having a second child by saying, “It’s already on the itinerary… I’m ready to go.” But the singer is hoping that it doesn’t happen while she’s touring - because she toured while pregnant two years ago and found it to be quite a difficult gig.
She adds, “That was really crazy… I was in rehearsals and I’m like, ‘What is wrong with me? I am such a jerk right now,’ and then all of a sudden I found out I was pregnant.”
“I couldn’t back out of the tour at that point and I was so sick… they had to keep expanding my costumes.”
Gwen also spoke to DeGeneres about taking care of her son, Kingston, during the evenings.
“We have someone in the daytime that comes in, but at night that’s my job,” she said.
“That’s my turn,” she explains. “It’s really hard but it’s actually fun. He’s not going to be this little—it goes so fast. It’s disgusting how fast it goes. So in the nights I just tell myself, enjoy it because it’s going to be over with.”
Stefani will kick off her two-month 2007 U.S. tour April 21 in Las Vegas. |

| Jennifer Hudson Covergirl For Historic ‘Vogue’ Issue |
On an uplifting note, Jennifer Hudson is set to make Vogue history by becoming the first black singer to ever appear on the magazine’s cover.
Meanwhile, the 25 year old Hudson will become only the third black woman to ever grace the cover of the highly esteemed fashion magazine. She follows in the footsteps of talk show mega-star Oprah Winfrey and Academy Award winning actress, Halle Berry.
The Chicago-born Hudson, who plays Effie White in the box-office hit, Dreamgirls, alongside Beyonce, was photographed by Annie Leibovitz in New York City’s Harlem theatre. E! commented that, “the photos by Annie Leibovitz capture exactly what is happening right now to Ms. Hudson. She is singing, smiling and, in one shot, appears to be taking it all in as she leans on a piano on the stage of the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem.”
“I think she will become an icon based on her talent, the way Barbra Streisand became for her breakout role in 1969 when she got her Oscar for Funny Girl,” Vogue’s editor-at-large stated in an interview.
This certain editor-at-large happens to be styling Jennifer for the Oscars. The Dreamgirls breakout performance y Hudson is the favorite to bring home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. “Her spirit is as gold as a golden sun on a beautiful day,” he says. “I hope her outfit will reflect that.”
According to E!, however, that’s as far as he’ll go in suggesting what type of outfit to expect. Like any good stylist, he said, “I cannot reveal what it is.” In a past Gossip Girls story, it was noted that a source from the NY Daily News said that “Beyoncé’s handlers did not want Hudson’s name on the guest list for a party she threw with People magazine at Eleven in West Hollywood.”

| Whitney Houston & Bobby Brown Have Grammy Dinner |
Whitney Houston just recently asked a judge to speed up the divorce proceedings between herself and Bobby Brown. That seems to be why onlookers were so surprised when the two were seen at a romantic restaurant together during Grammy night.
The estranged couple were out with their daughter, Bobbi Christina, at the famous Italian restaurant, Dan Tana’s in Beverly Hills.
But according to Houston’s rep, Nancy Seltzer, “It was a one-night dinner between divorcing parents for the sake of their daughter… They are not reuniting.”
On Saturday night, Houston had made a big public appearance fro this first time in a while, accompanying mentor Clive Davis to his annual pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Clive supposedly wanted Whitney to perform, but she told him that she wasn’t quite ready yet. |

| HPD Release Anna Nicole Smith 911 Tape |
The Hollywood (FLA) Police Department has released a 911 call from the night Anna Nicole Smith died, made by the Seminole tribal police department. In the 31-second call, the tribal police asked the Hollywood paramedics for assistance at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for an unresponsive female that was not breathing (more commonly known as a Code Blue).

Seminole PD: Hi. This is Seminole police. If you could please respond to the Hard Rock.

Hollywood Fire Rescue responded to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Thursday after Smith’s private nurse found the former Playboy playmate unconscious in her hotel room.
This is just the latest of many stories that have been breaking about Anna Nicole Smith. Some of the most notable include the theft of personal possessions (pictures, videos, and birth certificate to name a few) from her home, multiple men have come forward claiming that they are the father of her baby, and there is a battle between Smith’s mother and partner, Howard K. Stern, over what to do with her body. All of this whirlwind drama has created a media frenzy that even led to Pat O’Brien being stationed down in the Bahamas for the last week. | Faith Hill & Tim McGraw’s Mansion Burglarized |
Country music couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have become the victims of burglars over the past weekend.
The home, located in Hollywood Hills, was broken into between Friday and Monday when no one was home, said police Sgt. Lee Sands. A person arriving at the house Monday morning discovered the crime and called police, he said.
Police told the AP that an unspecified amount of money was taken and they had no immediate suspects. The report stated that the house is not the couple’s principal home, according to Paul Freundlich, Faith Hill’s publicist. The country crooners, who live in Nashville, Tennessee, were not in Los Angeles for Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, he said. Police are still investigating the matter.
As a side note, Tim and Faith purchased the home, which previously belonged to Sasha Stallone, the first wife of actor Sylvester Stallone, for a reported $6.4 million. Their neighbors include such stars as Billy Bob Thornton and Reba McEntire. |

| Jennifer Aniston’s Surprise Birthday Visit By Vince Vaughn |
It appears that while all eyes have been on the Grammy’s and the Anna Nicole saga, Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn were reportedly meeting up in California. According to numerous reports, the one time couple were together this past weekend.
Jennifer turned 38 years old on Sunday, but celebrated at a party being hosted at Courteney Cox’s Beverly Hills mansion on Saturday, where People magazine reports “the front yard was decorated with dozens of small, votive candles.” In a surprise, at around 7:30 pm., her co-star in The Break-Up and boyfriend of over a year, Vince Vaughn dropped by to say hello. Many fans are hoping that the two return to coupledom, which is not out of the question. In Touch Weekly writer Liz Crokin notes that “Vince has been very well-behaved in Chicago and has not been spotted out with any women. Vaughn hung out with mostly his male friends last Thursday night at the Fred Claus wrap party at Enclave nightclub.”
Another insider, Cathy Beers reported that the “down to earth Vaughn skipped a VIP area reserved for him at the party and he opted for the bar. Vaughn then held court and mingled with partygoers, including his Bears buddies Jim McMahon and Richard Dent.”

| Tracy Morgan Pleads Guilty To DUI |
As a Valentine’s Day gift to himself, Tracy Morgan pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge.
The 38-year-old comic, who co-stars on the NBC sitcom “30 Rock,” submitted the plea in Manhattan Criminal Court in exchange for a conditional discharge, meaning he must meet conditions set by the court and the case against him will be dismissed.
Morgan was pulled over and arrested in Manhattan at 4:30 a.m. on November 28th under suspicion of drunk driving, after cops noticed his erratic driving.
According to the police report made available through MSNBC, Morgan “was unable to maintain a position in a lane of traffic.” Unfortunately for Tracy, this was not the first time that he has been popped for a DUI… he has one prior conviction on his rap sheet.
Judge Ellen Coin ordered Morgan to enter a doctor-supervised alcohol program, perform community service to be determined later, and avoid being arrested again within the next six months. The judge also fined Morgan $1,000 and suspended his driver’s license for six months. |

| Leonardo DiCaprio To Star In Enron Movie |
Leonardo DiCaprio is planning to star in and produce a new film which will tell the story of the collapse of the Houston-based energy company, Enron.
Variety reported that “Warner Brothers reportedly paid seven figures to option “Conspiracy of Fools,” a book by New York Times reporter Kurt Eichenwald, and for Sheldon Turner (The Longest Yard) to pen script.”
In the film, DiCaprio will play a new employee at Enron who uncovers the corruption and greed in the company. Numerous Enron officers were found guilty of fraudulent accounting and corruption.
This deal cements DiCaprio’s relationship with Warner Brothers. The actor starred for WB in the Oscar nominated best picture ‘The Departed’ and in ‘Blood Diamond,’ for which he received a nomination for best male performance. DiCaprio is set to co-produce the film through his company, Appian Way. According to Zap2It, the actor and Apian Way have also been attached to adaptations of “Blink” and “The Chancellor Manuscript,” as well as to Martin Scorsese’s long-discussed biopic “The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt.” |

| Howard K. Stern Reunites with Anna Nicole's Baby |
Anna Nicole Smith's companion Howard K. Stern arrived in the Bahamas Saturday and was reunited with their 5-month-old daughter Dannielynn Hope, in a moment recorded by cameras for Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, the New York Post reports.
Stern also had a warning for Smith's mom, Virgie Arthur, who flew to the Bahamas Friday to seek protective custody of the baby. "Anna despised that woman. As long as I have breath in my body, that woman will not see Dannielynn," Stern told ET's Mark Steines.
Stern reportedly picked up Dannielynn and hugged her, saying, "This is the only piece of Anna I have left." Prior to Stern's arrival, Dannielynn was at the Bahamas home Smith and Stern shared together, and was being cared for by Stern's mother and sister.
"I wouldn't be here now, but I had to get back to Dannielynn. I know Anna loved her more than anything in the world," he said, reportedly fighting back tears.
Following Smith's death on Thursday, the paternity battle over Dannielynn has heated up: California photographer Larry Birkhead, who has long claimed to be the father of Smith's baby, was denied custody of Dannielynn on Friday, while – in a strange twist – Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband also came forward Friday to suggest that he may be the father of the baby.
In Birkhead's case, a judge refused to order an emergency DNA test on Smith's corpse to help determine paternity, but asked that her body be preserved until Feb. 20, when another hearing will be held. |

In case you missed the racy pictures, Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe is growing up – and his female fans have noticed.
"Somebody said to me the other day, 'Do you ever worry that girls are just giving you attention because of who you are?' " Radcliffe tells Britain's The Observer magazine. "I was like, 'I'm 17, I don't care! It's wonderful!' "
When he turns 18 in July, he'll have access to a fortune estimated by the magazine at around $35 million – so he knows he has to be wary of fair-weather friends. "Obviously you have to watch a bit," he says, "and I'm sure there will be a lot of girls – well, I hope there will be a lot of girls who are just trying to get stories!"
But the single star ("I've not got a girlfriend at the moment," he says. "I have had probably two I suppose what you call serious girlfriends") has learned to trust his gut when it comes to dating: "I'd rather take the chance if I really like someone. I think I'd generally be able to tell. I've got quite a good instinct for people."
And female fans have been pursuing him since before he hit puberty: When he was promoting the first Potter film in America, one girl surprised him wearing nothing but a towel. "I was about 11 when that happened. I didn't know what to do with myself. I was just discovering what everything was!" he says. "That was really cool actually. I wish that would happen again. As I remember, she was very attractive. I'd be up for something now!"
Fans will get a very different look at him on Feb. 27, when his four-month run in the sex-and-violence-filled play Equus starts in London. What does Harry Potter creator JK Rowling think? | Kylie Minogue Asks Fans To Back Off Olivier Martinez |
In a follow up story from The Gossip Girls, it appears as if Kylie Minogue wants her fans to leave her ex-boyfriend, French actor Olivier Martinez, alone. The two separated after 4 years of marriage earlier this month, stating that they “will remain friends.”
Since the ex-couple’s statement there have been rumors of Martinez’s alleged infidelity with Penelope Cruz and Michelle Rodriguez.
“As for the treatment Olivier has received of late, I can only reiterate that he simply does not deserve the kind of harassment or vitriol to which he has been subjected,” the singer wrote in a statement on her website.
"For someone whom I have enormous love and respect, and communicate with, it is so grossly unfair: to demonize an honest man. I would ask of you, my fans, to show your support for both Olli and myself as a separation is never easy,” she continued.
Penelope also commented to Life Style Extra about the matter. The actress stated: “Olivier and I have been friends for seven years, we are very close. You can understand that it’s a difficult time for him right now, so I have been there for him to offer support. And it was lovely seeing him the other day, it has been such a long time.”
Penelope, who admitted that Olivier is a “charming man”, insists the hug and kiss they shared at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont hotel on February 4 was completely innocent. |

| Grammy Winners Named; Dixie Chicks Reap Top Awards |
From country music outcasts to winning 5 Grammy’s is not a bad turnaround for The Dixie Chicks. The group, who jeopardized their career by criticizing U.S. President George W. Bush, won all five Grammy Awards for which they were nominated on Sunday, including the coveted album of the year.
“The victory for their work on the chart-topping album “Taking the Long Way” marked a stunning validation for the female Texan trio almost four years after their dream run as the darlings of Nashville came to an abrupt end,” reported Reuters
Singer Natalie Maines told fans during a 2003 concert in London she was ashamed to come from the same state as Bush. As news of the remark spread, country radio stations stopped playing their songs, while album and ticket sales suffered.
“I think people are using their freedom of speech tonight with all of these awards,” Maines said, as the group accepted the final award of the ceremony, album of the year. Bandmate Emily Robison said: “We wouldn’t have made this album without everything we went through, so we have no regrets.”
The Dixie Chicks’ tally included best country album, as well as record of the year, song of the year and group country vocal performance for the appropriately wry single “Not Ready To Make Nice.” Their career Grammy haul stands at 13. Reuters noted that the last time an act won the album, record and song categories was in 1993, when Eric Clapton led the field. The last country act to win album of the year was Glen Campbell in 1969 with “By the Time I Get to Phoenix.”
In other happenings, former “American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood took the best new artist Grammy, further enhancing the star-making power of the hit TV talent show. Underwood, the winner of the fourth season of “American Idol” in 2005, also clinched the Grammy for best female country vocal performance.

| Hilary Duff On The Breakup, Dating & Her Career |
Hilary Duff is starting to make more and more public appearances. Not too long ago, the singer-actress split with her longtime boyfriend. In a China Daily interview, she has confirmed that her split from Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden was amicable and that she is looking forward to jumping into the dating scene.
The two split up in November after more than two years together and Hilary told Ryan Seacrest recently: “There was nothing - no fight, no he did this, I did this. It was just time for people to move on and do different things.”
“I had a really great relationship with him, and we still have a great relationship, which is really good and unusual. He’s a good person, and I always will care about him.”
When asked about her new single status, Hilary replied: “Dating is fun. I kind of feel like a guy, like I can do it now. But I feel kind of wrong at the same time.”
“I’ve never gotten to date before, so it’s kind of exciting. I’ve always just had a boyfriend, you know? I’m young!”

| Little Miss Sunshine, The Departed Take Top WGA Honors |
The much unheralded, yet ever important Writers Guild of America held their awards ceremony on February 11th. The event, which was completely outshadowed by the Grammys, honored Oscar rivals Little Miss Sunshine and The Departed with the two top awards. The road trip comedy, Little Miss Sunshine, which is about a family who takes their youngest member on a trip across America to enter a California beauty pageant, took the best original screenplay gong to Michael Arndt. The Departed, a remake of the Hong Kong police drama Infernal Affairs, took the best adapted screenplay prize for writer William Monahan.
Both films are up for best film at the Academy Awards on February 25, where they will also compete with The Queen, Letters From Iwo Jima and Babel. Many members of the guild are also entitled to vote in the Oscars so last night’s awards does provide a useful indicator of success later this month.
Arndt told the audience that he wrote Little Miss Sunshine at a time when he had no job and no screenwriting credits to his name. He thanked the independent film’s producers Albert Berger, Ron Yerxa and Marc Turtletaub for saving his script from the mainstream studios, where he believes it would have been torn apart.
“They spent five years trying to protect this script from studio notes,” Arndt said. Deliver Us From Evil, which explores efforts by the Catholic church to protect a priest involved in sexual abuse of children, took the award for best film documentary screenplay. The movie is nominated for an Oscar for best documentary.

| Jessica Simpson Dyes Hair; Talks Adoption |
Jessica Simpson has decided that it is time for a change. The star has apparently decided to drop her blond locks, but has yet to settle on a new color. Jessica recently made the transition from blond to redhead (an auburn shade). That didn’t go over so well, as it is rumored that no one liked it all that much. As a result, she has dumped the red and is trying out a dark brunette look. She sported the darker style at Mr. Chow’s in Beverly Hills this past week and most would agree that she looked much better.
It is quite amazing how different a new hairdo can make someone look. On Wednesday, a TMZ cameraman reportedly totally missed Ms. Simpson as she was entering Mr. Chow. Jessica didn’t seem to like the lack of attention. Not wanting to miss out on some fan adoration, she reminded the photographer who she was.

On another note concerning Jessica Simpson - perhaps she will be a mom. Jessica told Britain’s Star Magazine that she wants to have a big family. “I want to adopt before I actually have my own kids. I want three kids—but I don’t know if I can give birth three times. I’ll have to see how much pain is involved first time round!”
Jessica went on, saying, “I think Angelina Jolie has done amazing things. Ever since I was a kid I said I wanted to save the world somehow. I didn’t know how. I think I’ll end up doing things that can touch somebody in some way that’s good—like through orphanages.” |

| Eminem Denies Kim Reunion Rumors |
Eminem’s spokesperson has denied the recent rumors that the star is back together, for the third time, with his ex-wife Kim Mathers.
The rumors started to build after rapper Akon, who has worked with Eminem on a number of tracks, revealed earlier this week that the couple are back together. This comes less than a year after they filed for divorce.... for a second time.
However, according to a Fametastic report, Eminem’s spokesperson Dennis Dennehy has denied the stories, saying: “Those reports are absolutely false.” Supporting the story that the two are not back together, Kim recently recorded an interview for news show 20/20 saying “I’m done” with Marshall.
She added that he repeatedly cheated on her during their first marriage when he hit the big time: “During his first tour in 1999 he was cheating on me a lot and drinking and using drugs. His ego just went poof. He was untouchable. Like he was God, that’s what he thought.”
Kim also admitted to attempting to slit her wrists in 2000 after he wrote a song about violently murdering her and then beat up a doll of her on stage during a concert in Detroit: “Just hearing the crowd’s response…I knew that it was about me.”
With both sides denying a reunion between two-time ex-lovers, it raises the question as to why Akon would make such a statement. With two divorces under their belt, hopefully Akon was mistaken or misquoted, because these two lasting together has proven thus far to be an impossiblity. |

| Cameron Diaz Earns $3 Million For Japanese Commercial |
Cameron Diaz has earned herself a cool $3 million for appearing in a commercial for a Japanese mobile phone company. And how about this...the commercial shoot took only six hours to of her time, which works out to a nice little payday of eight thousand dollars a minute.
In the commercial, Diaz sports a super-short bright-green dress and high heels, and is talking on her cell phone on what seems to be a New York City street.
She becomes so engaged in her cell phone conversation that she becomes oblivious to the fact that a film featuring cowboys, aliens, pirates, and gangsters, is being filmed around her.

| Johnny Depp Selects Mira Nair to Direct Shantaram |
Johnny Depp has chosen filmmaker Mira Nair to direct his new film, Shantaram. The movie will star Depp in the lead role, and will be co-produced by Depp’s Infinitum Nihil and Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B, who bought the rights to the Gregory David Roberts-penned book for $2 million, according to a Starpulse report.
Nair, who was born in India and directed Monsoon Wedding in 2001, admits she is a big fan of the book and is looking forward to the challenge of working behind the camera with Depp. In a recent interview, Nair said, “I just got the offer a few days back but I will start with it soon. It is a book that completely gripped me as it did millions of others. Johnny Depp is such an extraordinary human being and an extraordinary actor. He embodies so much what ‘Shantaram’ is and so when he asked me to direct him it was obviously a great honor and challenge for me.”
‘Shantaram’ is based on the life story of Gregory David Roberts, whose book of the same name describes his escape from an Australian prison to Mumbai and his adventures with the city’s powerful mafia dons. Depp will be playing “Lindsay”, the central character who is modeled on Roberts. |

| Jennifer Aniston Considers Adoption; Vince Vaughn Wants Her Back |
Speculation as to whether or not Jennifer Aniston will be adopting any children in the near future continues to run rampant.
The star, who recently split from Vince Vaughn, has reportedly been seeking advice on adopting two children. Her representative has confirmed that Jennifer is interested in adoption, but has no immediate plans.
The representative said: “She doesn’t rule out the possibility in the future.”
This comes just after one of Jennifer’s friends told Life and Style Weekly magazine: “It could be weeks, not months, before Jen becomes a mother.” “She’s meeting with adoption lawyers, and she’s telling everyone to get ready - it’s going to happen soon!”
Jennifer is said to have decided on adoption after talking to her close friend Courteney Cox. The situation is rather interesting, seeing that her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, has two adopted children with new love Angelina Jolie.
In other news related to this story, actor Vince Vaughn has seemingly found it so hard to deal with his split from Jennifer, that he desparately wants to get back together. A source revealed to Look magazine that the actor was ‘regretting’ his decision to back out of the couple’s relationship, and that he is now ‘desperate’ to get her back into his life.
“Vince is lonely as hell without Jennifer and he’s regretting his decision to let her slip away. He’s desperate to get her back,” said a source. .
“Vince feels responsible for Jennifer’s situation, because without him she’s being forced to go down the single mother route because of her age,” the source said.
“He really does want to get married and have kids. It kills him to think about Jennifer bringing a child home on her own and taking on the whole responsibility by herself,” the insider added. |

| The Police to Headline Grammy Awards |
The Police, the 1980s super group, will reunite for the HD broadcast of the 49th annual Grammys Awards on Sunday night.
The music awards show, which will air Sunday on CBS at 8 p.m. ET, is expected to open with a performance by Police band members Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland.
The group, which disbanded in 1985 after producing just five albums, is expected to announce a world reunion tour the following day. The Police have only performed together in public a few times since their break up.
CBS will present the entire awards show from the Staples Center in Los Angeles in High-Definition, so tune up those new plasma TVs.
Other Grammy presenters that can be seen include Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Owen Wilson, Quentin Tarantino, Christina Aguilera, Melissa Etheridge and Stevie Wonder.

| Paris Hilton’s Valentine’s Day Shopping Spree |
Amidst all of the troubles surrounding Paris Hilton, she just recently made some time to do a little Valentine’s Day shopping....and it was not at Hallmark!
The visibly upset heiress was spotted shopping in Sunset Boulevard boutique Aahs, crying on her cell phone and saying: “I don’t know what to do”, according to the Sun.
“Paris was wearing her sunglasses and was dressed in a black tracksuit with a pink skull and crossbones on the back. She was going round the shop talking to someone on the phone and crying - she kept wiping her nose with a tissue,” the shopper said.
"She picked up an edible bikini set, vibrating pink tickler and some raunchy Lovehearts. She spent about $400 in total on Valentine’s Day stuff,” the source added.
Earlier this week Paris was criticized by the Austrian media for allowing her recent court appearances to overshadow her invite to the imminent Vienna opera ball. One such court date was that of her attempt to shut down website ParisExposed, which The Gossip Girls has been closely following.

| Justin Timberlake Throws A-List Party, Launches JT-TV |
Justin Timberlake threw what many are reporting as a “killer bash”. The event was held at Avalon in Hollywood on the night of Friday February 9th.
Making it even more interesting, Kevin Federline was not only in the audience, but he and Timberlake actually crossed paths. According to insiders from E! Online, the two bumped into each other on the red carpet. Apparently, the two former flames of Britney Spears didn’t have much to say to each other, seeing that they only managed a quick hello on the carpet.
Perhaps Timberlake was rushing to see Scarlett Johansson, who was in attendance for the evening. Meanwhile, to Justin’s relief, Jessica Biel was nowhere to be seen. Imagine how awkward that situation could have been. Unfortunately for Justin, it is bound to happen sometime sooner or later. Anyways, the party was thrown to launch JT-TV. For those who do not work well with acronyms, that stands for Justin Timberlake television. And don’t go running to your plasma tv just yet. JT-TV is actually a mobile channel on V Cast, available on Verizon Wireless cell phones. Timberlake has promised a lifestyle network dedicated to music, fashion and travel.
Enough of the business side, let’s get to the events happenings. The night’s musical performers included Danity Kane, Kenna, Fergie & the Black Eye Peas, Timbaland and Nelly Furtado, with Justin joining in on the performances or introducing the acts.
Besides the tremendous musical talent, there was an A-list audience of the highest echelon for JT’s bash. Among the famous were Naomi Campbell, Sean “Diddy” Combs, T.R. Knight, Tara Reid, Kate Walsh, Sara Ramirez, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, Wilmer Valderrama, the Rock, and Kid Rock.

| Lindsay Lohan Buys Marilyn Monroe’s Old Apartment |
Preparing for life after Wonderland, Lindsay Lohan has purchased the Los Angeles apartment that movie legend Marilyn Monroe once called home.
The 20-year-old, who is currently in rehab at the Wonderland Center, is expected to move into Monroe’s former two-bedroom apartment after her treatment is completed.
According to Radar, Lindsay made some money when she sold her L.A. condo for $2,495,000, offsetting a $431,000 Chateau Marmont hotel bill last year. But the El Palacio, described as “an enchanting place that screams early Hollywood—all Spanish arches and lush greenery,” has its own dark history. Though Monroe lived in the apartment in the 1950s, several years before her death in 1962, a number of high-profile deaths occurred at the complex over the last century. "In 1944, the 23-year-old heiress Georgette Bauerdorf was strangled and found facedown in her bath at her El Palacio pad. And in 1965, black screen legend Dorothy Dandridge committed suicide there by overdosing on barbituates,” report Radar sources.
A neighbor at the El Palacio building, where the apartment is located, says, “We were all amazed to see Lindsay moving in.”
The history obviously was not enough to scare off Lindsay. This makes sense, seeing that Lohan has been a longtime fan of the iconic and tragic actress, admitting in one recent interview she tries to emulate Monroe whenever she can - even when it came to entertaining the troops.
The actress told the Post Chronicle, “I wanted to do what Marilyn Monroe did (during the Korean War), when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops all by herself.”

| Britney Spears Hits Manhattans Clubs; Finds New Man? |
Britney Spears seems to be over her short-lived model boyfriend Isaac Cohen. The mother of two continued her club-hopping tour of Manhattan this week by indulging in a frenzy of drinking, dancing and making out, reports the New York Post.
According to the New York Post, Britney dined with friends at Rue 57 on Tuesday night before hitting the clubs. The group proceeded by heading to Marquee, where an onlooker heard her “demand all alcohol be kept far away from her.”
Meanwhile, sources stated, “she must have been drinking secretly in the bathroom because she was falling all over the place.” Britney and the gang left Marquee in the early hours, arriving at their next club, Tenjure, at around 2.30am. Another club patron reported that she was dancing on banquettes and “drinking what looked like O.J. and vodka.... Britney was completely hammered.”
Amidst it all, Britney was seen smoking and dancing at the two clubs, where revelers “dared each other to tug on her thong,” claim numerous sources.
An insider told Page Six that one of the people who followed Britney from Marquee to Tenjune (described as “a scruffy-looking guy") was “hitting on her all night, but she wouldn’t even look at him.”
“Then a model guy came to her table and she started making out with him.”

| Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Plan Move To Berlin? |
One of Hollywood’s hottest couples, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, supposedly have bought a large loft apartment in eastern Berlin, according to a report in the German edition of Vanity Fair.
The magazine, which was launched on February 7th, stated that the spacious 6,450 square foot apartment is in an unassuming part of town near Alexanderplatz square.
Pitt and Jolie have been frequent visitors to Berlin and Jolie recently told Britain’s OK! magazine that they will move to Europe. The couple owns an apartment in Paris as well. Brangelina would add some Hollywood glamor to Berlin, which is rolling out the red carpet for a number of stars attending the Berlin Film Festival, which began on February 8th.
The purchase is a further image boost for Berlin’s property market following increasing reports that foreign investors are being attracted by the low price of real estate in the German capital. Not that price is likely to have been a major factor in the star couple’s case.
Berlin’s mayor Klaus Wowereit has made a point of wooing Hollywood stars and directors to make films in the cash-strapped city since he took office in 2001. Tom Cruise is regularly spotted there and declared during a meeting with Wowereit that he had a “very special relationship” with Berlin, according to Spiegel Online. |

| Guide to the 49th Grammy Awards |
Its time to get ready for what many deem ‘music’s biggest night’. The 49th Annual Grammy Awards will be presented from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, Feb. 11, broadcast live on CBS from LA to NYC. The show will see awards given in 13 major categories plus honorary tributes will be presented during the telecast. Awards in the remaining 95 categories will be presented in a non-televised ceremony from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. EST.
Mary J. Blige, whose album “The Breakthrough’’ was perhaps the biggest in her career, was nominated for a leading eight Grammy Awards, including R&B album, record and song of the year. The Red Hot Chili Peppers were also multiple nominees, garnering six.
Other multiple nominees were the Dixie Chicks, British newcomer James Blunt, John Mayer, Prince, and the Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am. The Grammy’s telecast has always been known for some excellent musical moments, reunions and cross-genre jams. That should once again be the case.
As reported by The Gossip Girls, The Police kick off Sunday night’s show with a reunion performance. Rumors are rampant that the trio will announce a world tour on Monday February 12th.

| Hilton Pal, Kim Kardashian, Ready To Sue Over Sex Tape |
Paris Hilton pal and California socialite Kim Kardashian has said that she may sue to halt the release of a sex tape of her and rapper-actor Ray J from when they were an item. As reported previously by The Gossip Girls, Vivid Entertainment said it paid $1 million to an undisclosed third party for the tape made three years ago of Kardashian, daughter of the late O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Kardashian, and Ray J.
Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch said the company is “comfortable” that it has the right to distribute the video. However, Kardashian said, “We’re just going to get to the bottom of this and do whatever we have to do to stop it.” Kardashian, a stylist and fashion designer, co-owns the Calabasas, Calif., boutique Dash with sisters Kourtney and Khloe.
She said that the tape should not have been up for sale and also noted that she doesn’t believe that her ex-boyfriend was responsible.
“Have there been tapes? Maybe, yes,” she said recently on E!’s Daily Ten. “But are they for sale? No. Not for sale. That’s our business.”
“I don’t feel like I really did anything wrong,” Kardashian continued. “I was in a relationship, very much in love…It’s humiliating; it’s embarrassing. It’s something I feel very betrayed by but I’m not pointing any fingers.” Rumors that she was an active participant in trying to sell one of her racy home movies, Kardashian said in a written statement to the New York Daily News: “I’m not poor; I’m not desperate. I would never attempt to sell a tape. It would humiliate me and ruin my family. I have two successful businesses, and I don’t need the money.”
Kardashian is set to appear in hip-hop producer Christopher Stokes’ multimillion-dollar ad campaign for his new street-wear line, Christopher Brian Apparel—some of which features Kardashian, who will also design some pieces for Stokes, in “topless-yet-tasteful (i.e. no bare breasts) situations,” claimed E! | Salma Hayek To Star In William H Macy Film |
In a movie news update, actor William H Macy is reportedly set to make his feature film directorial debut. Helping to make his job a little easier, actress Salma Hayek has agreed to a starring role in the film ‘Keep Coming Back’.
The academy-award nominated actress will play the role of an alcoholic ex-stripper, according to Contactmusic.
The story, written by Will Aldis, is about “a good teenager with a bad heart condition and a crush on Hayek’s stipper character, who is twice his age. He opts to join her Alcoholics Anonymous group just so he can be in the same room with her,” according to imdb.
The film is supposedly also starring rapper Mos Def, Steve Buscemi and William H Macy is planning on playing along with his directorial duties. The film is scheduled to begin shooting this summer (July) in LA.
In a side note, working behind the camera is not new for Mr. Macy. The Emmy-winning actor previously directed a made-for-HBO movie in 1988, ‘Lip Service’. He also was an executive producer for Transamerica, which starred his wife, Felicity Huffman |

| JadaKiss Enters Not Guilty Plea To Drug, Gun Counts |
Legal troubles surround another hit musician...this time with serious consequences looming. According to an ap news release, Jadakiss (aka Jason Phillips) entered a not guilty plea on February 8th to an indictment on gun and drug charges. He was arrested October 7,2006 with three other men in his native Yonkers. Police said they stopped the car he was in after smelling marijuana and then found the the loaded stolen .38 caliber hand gun.
The rapper’s lawyer, Clement Patti, said, “I have yet to see or hear of any evidence connecting my client to possessing this weapon.” He said Jadakiss was in the back seat and did not know there was a gun in the front console. Also, how they could smell marijuana from a moving car will surely be up for debate. Jadakiss’ most recent album included a hit single, “U Make Me Wanna,” featuring Mariah Carey. The rapper is most notorious for his 2004 song “Why,” which included lyrics asking “Why did Bush knock down the towers?” He said later it meant the president had failed to stop terrorism.
If Jada is convicted on the gun charge in Westchester County Court, the possible sentence he would face is 16 months to seven years in prison. The law was toughened in November to provide a minimum sentence of 3 1/2 years.
Two of the other arrested men face similar charges. No indictment of the fourth was announced. |

| Drugs Found In Anna Nicole Smith’s Room |
More information is slowly being released regarding the tragic death of former Playmate, Anna Nicole Smith. As reported February 8th by The Gossip Girls, a lawyer who represented Anna Nicole Smith, Ron Rale, says the model was staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino Thursday when she was found unresponsive and was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Fla., where she was pronounced dead.
WCBS-TV in New York has now released a follow up report, stating that while searching Anna Nicole Smith’s hotel room late Thursday afternoon, investigators found two key pieces of evidence: illegal narcotics and prescription medications.
A toxicology report will determine whether one of these drugs or a combination of both substances contributed to her death. Meanwhile, an autopsy is scheduled for the morning of Friday February 9th, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The cbs report made note of the fact that sheriff’s deputies were seen carrying out at least eight brown bags from Smith’s hotel room, each sealed with red evidence tape.
Anna’s lawyer, Rale, dismissed the idea that drugs might have been involved as “a bunch of nonsense.” In an interview with the Miami Herald, Rale said that he spoke with Smith Tuesday or Wednesday and she had flu symptoms and was grieving over the recent death of her 20-year-old son, Daniel.
Speaking at a news conference in Florida, Charlie Tiger of the Seminole police told reporters that a private female nurse discovered Smith’s body at the hotel and that a bodyguard administered CPR at 1:45 p.m. Tiger said police received confirmation of her death at 2:49 p.m.
