| Town is braced for Hurley wedding |
Traffic restrictions have been placed around Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire ahead of the wedding of actress Liz Hurley on Saturday.
Police said traffic cones were being placed along Vine Street, Castle Street and Rushley Lane in Winchcombe.
Ms Hurley's marriage to Indian businessman Arun Nayar is expected to draw crowds of spectators to the town.
Police considered creating a one-way system but revised the plan after concerns from residents and retailers.
Insp Erik Sherwood said: "We will have our normal numbers of officers on duty in the area, however we do recognise that there is likely to be an influx of onlookers and media to the town which may cause disruption to the town and its residents.
"In order to minimise the possible effects on the residents of Winchcombe we will be providing two officers who will respond to and deal with incidents as they arise." |
