| Usher Announces Engagement |
Usher has decided that the time has come to settle down. The R&B star is engaged to marry his longtime girlfriend, wardrobe stylist Tameka Foster, Usher spokeswoman Simone Smalls said on Friday.
The announcement ends speculation that Usher had popped the question, as Foster has been photographed recently with a diamond ring on her finger.

The 28-year-old musician turned actor, whose full name is Usher Raymond, said he could be walking down the aisle before the end of the year.
His 2004 Grammy win for “Confessions” for best contemporary R&B album also netted him another Grammy for “Yeah,” for best rapped/sung record.
Crossing over to acting, in 2005 he starred in “In the Mix,” playing a young man who becomes romantically involved with the daughter of a mob boss, and in 2006 he starred in the musical “Chicago” on Broadway. |
