| Naomi Campbell Completes Community Service |
Naomi Campbell has turned in her mop and is back to her diva-like lifestyle. The British supermodel was released from a NYC garbage truck garage after completing five days of community service for assaulting her cleaning lady.
Campbell was spotted high-tailing it out of the Department of Sanitation Facility in Manhattan, just seconds after a garbage truck made its way through the area. According to Zee news reports, “The pavement might as well have been a catwalk: she strutted through in a bare-shouldered, ankle-length shimmering gown and stiletto sandals, then stepped into her silver rolls royce and sped away as neighborhood residents and paparazzi watched.”
The sanitation duties were bestowed upon Campbell after she pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault. The charge stemmed from an incident in which the model chucked a crystal-encrusted phone at her maid over a missing pair of jeans.
Her maid, Ana Scolavino, received four stitches to her head.
Campbell said it was an accident because she did not intend to hit her. Meanwhile, the judge didn’t buy this version of the story and found her guilty.
“In an agreement negotiated with prosecutors, the Manhattan criminal court judge sentenced Campbell to serve five days of community service, take anger management classes and pay $363.32 in restitution to Scolavino, as well as covering her hospital bills,” AP reports revealed. |
