Countdown to Comic Relief begins |
Comic Relief reaches a climax on Friday with celebrities including Ricky Gervais and model Kate Moss taking part in the BBC's fundraising show.
Celebrity Fame Academy will see socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and actress Tricia Penrose go head-to-head in the live final.
Sketches from Sacha Baron Cohen and Catherine Tate are also included in the eight-hour BBC One show. Proceeds from Comic Relief: The Big One go to charities in the UK and Africa.
Jonathan Ross, Russell Brand, Paul O'Grady, Graham Norton and Chris Evans are among the presenters.
'Walk This Way'
The final of Comic Relief Does The Apprentice will also be shown. The fundraiser will also feature a special episode of The Vicar of Dibley with Sting - the last ever - and music from Girls Aloud and the Sugababes, who will sing Comic Relief Single Walk This Way. The Killers and Take That will also perform.
The Comic Relief appeal was launched on 31 January but the majority of money collected is done on Friday - known as Red Nose Day. |
