Mariah Carey Flies Economy On Her Own Terms |
Talk about not being willing to cut back. Singer Mariah Carey was asked to travel by economy class to cut costs on her latest flick ‘Tennessee’ and the singer did just that, but in a fashion that could only be expected out of a diva such as herself.
Apparently, the movie is being made “on a shoestring budget,” so Mariah was asked to fly down to the filming location with the rest of the commoners in the economy cabin. According to the Baltimore Sun, those who knew her just about fainted, saying, “She’ll never do that!”
She sure proved those people wrong. In an act that only Mariah would go through with, the singer bought every single seat and flew alone in the economy cabin. Talk about showing the movie producers who makes the rules! We can only assume that Mariah ended up footing the bill, but it surely must have felt like money well spent to the star.
On a side note, ‘Tennessee’ is a movie about two brothers on a road trip in search of their estranged dad. Mariah took the time to learn a Southern accent for her role in the film, which co-stars Bernie Mac. |
