Wu-Tang Clan are back |
Wu-Tang Clan have announced details of their first new album in five years.
The legendary hip-hop collective isunderstood to have completed work on 8 Diagram, their first new material since Iron Flag in 2001.
The LP is expected to feature a posthumous, unreleased performance from Ol' Dirty Bastard, alongside a tribute to the infamous rap icon, entitled "Life Changes."
Wu-Tang reunited for the Rock The Bells Festival in California three years ago, before staging a tour of North America in 2006.
However, this is the first evidence of new material, as RZA explained in a statement: "People want something that gives them an adrenaline rush. We're here to supply that fix. How could hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever? We're here to revive the spirit and the economics and bring in a wave of energy that has lately dissipated." 8 Diagram is due for release in the summer. |
