Bjork to work with Timbaland |
Bjork has begun work on her new album, with Antony Hegarty and Timbaland among the contributors.
The Icelandic pop star's last official release was Medulla in 2004. The current recordings are expected to result in a follow-up, due later this year.
Hegarty, of Antony & the Johnsons fame, has apparently laid down vocals for two tracks on the LP, while super producer Timbaland is working on a further two.
Details of the progress on the album have been posted on Bjork's official website by her "official correspondent," Meester Fly.
He explains that "numerous people from truly different backgrounds" have been involved with the recordings, including Lightning Bolt's Brian Chippendale and Mark Bell.
Meester Fly explained: "More work is being done in the next few weeks on the new record. It has not got a name. The record is scheduled for a late spring release." |
